PowerStack off-grid solar poles

Bring power to the places that need it.

PowerStack combines solar generation and battery storage in a modular pole system to power lighting, security cameras, communications and connected sensors without a grid connection.

From parks and pathways to farms and remote sites, ECO Solar can help you explore a system around the devices you need to run, your site and the available sunlight.

What could you power?

Lighting

Explore lighting for pathways, parks, parking areas, campuses and site access points.

Cameras and site monitoring

Power compatible security cameras and monitoring devices where extending grid power would be difficult.

Connectivity and sensors

Support compatible wireless networks, weather sensors and other IoT devices with a system designed for their load.

System sizing depends on equipment wattage, operating hours, local winter sunlight, shading, storage and site conditions. Device compatibility, foundation design, permits and connectivity are reviewed for each project. Runtime and installation timelines are project-specific.

See the manufacturer’s short installation overview. It illustrates the system; your installation plan will depend on the site.

A real-world example: park Wi-Fi and lighting

PowerStack describes a 2024 project with BrightWatch and the City of San Marcos, Texas, using its vertical solar poles at five public park locations. The systems power LED lighting and routers for park Wi-Fi without grid connections.

The example shows how one power platform can support more than one site function. Your proposal will identify the devices, system capacity and operating schedule appropriate to your location.

The city wanted additional park lighting and Wi-Fi while keeping the parks accessible. BrightWatch selected PowerStack M80 vertical solar poles to support LED lights and routers at five locations in 2024.

The manufacturer reports that off-grid power avoided extending grid wiring to the poles and reduced the need for trenching through existing park areas. Equipment, foundations and installation methods were specific to that project.

This is a manufacturer case study, not an ECO Solar installation. Your site requires its own evaluation of device loads, operating hours, sunlight and foundation needs.
