Explore the equipment behind your solar system

Browse manufacturer specification sheets for panels, batteries, inverters and mounting systems. These are reference models from brands we commonly use; they are not a stock list or a promise that a specific model will be in your installation.

We can source equipment from manufacturers across the industry. Your proposal identifies the exact models, regional approvals, compatibility and warranty terms for your project.

Manufacturer PDFs collected November 2, 2026. Specifications and availability may change. Ask us for the current sheet matching your proposed model. Select View PDF to read on this page or Download PDF to save a copy.

Silfab solar panels

Another panel brand we use. Your proposal will identify the selected Silfab model and its matching specifications.

Hanwha Qcells 480W bifacial panels

Our go-to panel choice for ground-mounted systems. Bifacial panels can also capture reflected light from behind the panel; additional output depends on ground reflectivity, clearance, shading and array layout.

Reference PDF: Q.PEAK DUO XL-G10.3/BFG, 475–490W family, including 480W (2021 revision). Confirm the exact model and current documentation in your proposal.

480W panel-count calculator

Convert a target array capacity into a starting panel count using our go-to Hanwha Qcells 480W bifacial panel. This is a capacity calculation, not a prediction of annual production or savings.

21 panels × 480W = 10.08 kW DC to meet or exceed a 10 kW target.

Formula: target kW × 1,000 ÷ 480, rounded up to a whole panel. Uses the front-side nameplate rating with no assumed bifacial bonus. Final sizing also depends on energy use, site conditions, inverter selection and utility requirements.

PVWatts® — explore electricity production

Enter your address and proposed system size to estimate monthly and annual electricity output. Compare rooftop and ground-mounted layouts, orientation and tilt. Review shading, snow and other loss assumptions before relying on a result.

How to use it for your project

Gather 12 months of electricity use in kWh. Enter your location, then use the array capacity above as a starting input. Compare estimated annual generation with your annual consumption. This does not establish bill savings: utility rates, export credits, fixed charges and actual site conditions also matter.

NREL / NLR — System Advisor Model

Want a deeper look? SAM is a free desktop tool for modeling solar, battery storage and project economics. It is more detailed than a quick homeowner calculator and is best suited to advanced exploration with project-specific inputs.

About these research tools

You may know the laboratory as NREL, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Its current website identifies it as the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR). PVWatts and SAM are independent research tools; their results do not represent an ECO Solar proposal or a laboratory endorsement.
