Official Roof Maxx Warranty
The Roof Maxx flexibility warranty, including its five-year coverage period, conditions and exclusions.
Roof Maxx’s transferable, five-year limited warranty covers the flexibility of treated asphalt shingles. Flexibility helps shingles expand and contract as temperatures change. If treated shingles fail the manufacturer’s Standardized Flexibility Test during the warranty period, the affected areas are eligible for retreatment on a prorated basis over 60 months, subject to the written terms.
This is a flexibility warranty—not a warranty against Mother Nature. It does not cover granule loss, leaks, faulty installation, or damage from wind, ice, snow or hail. Treatment does not make a roof stormproof or replace homeowners insurance.
That’s why the roof tune-up is so important. The flexibility warranty does not cover leaks or guarantee installation and repair work performed by a previous contractor. During your assessment and roof tune-up, we look for maintenance issues that can allow water in, such as problems around flashings, penetrations and exposed fasteners. We explain what can be addressed within the agreed tune-up scope and identify concerns that need additional repair. Restoring shingle flexibility and addressing potential leak sources are separate parts of caring for your roof.
