Brass FAQs
Wissota Brass questions
Additional FAQ content for review. Order-specific terms, pricing and capability are confirmed by Wissota Brass.
What processing is included with the brass I buy?
Wissota Brass sells processed brass only. Each lot or order identifies the preparation stages included. Previously fired cases are inspected, and primer status and any special specifications are confirmed separately.
Does polished brass mean fully processed?
No. Appearance alone does not establish what work has been completed. Ask for the lot's documented processing stages.
Does previously fired mean fired exactly once?
Not necessarily. Range-collected brass can have an unknown firing history. We use previously fired unless a specific source history has been verified.
Are all calibers in the search available?
The directory is a broad inquiry list for review. Previously listed calibers are identified separately. Stock and processing capability for each caliber and condition require confirmation.
Can I request a particular headstamp or primer type?
Include the exact requirement in your request. Sorting and lot-specific specifications are confirmed with your quote; mixed lots are not automatically a single headstamp.
Should I clean or sort my brass before sending it?
Contact us before shipping. We will confirm intake requirements, accepted material, quantities and the return arrangements for your order. Send empty cases only, never loaded ammunition.
Do you accept nickel-plated or unusual cases?
Describe the material and caliber in your inquiry. Acceptance and available operations depend on the specific lot and are confirmed before shipment.
What is the minimum order and turnaround time?
Request a quote with your caliber, condition, quantity and deadline. Minimums, pricing and lead times are confirmed for that order; the directory does not promise a fixed turnaround.
What if my caliber is not listed?
Select Other in the quote form and enter its exact name in Notes, or email brass@ecogroup-inc.com. We will review availability and capability.
Can I arrange local pickup or discuss a shipping destination?
Tell us your location and preferred arrangement when requesting a quote. Confirm arrangements with Wissota Brass before sending or collecting cases.
What if an order arrives damaged or differs from the quote?
Contact brass@ecogroup-inc.com with your order details and photos. We will review the issue against the confirmed specifications. Return and cancellation terms should be confirmed before ordering.

Topics were researched from Northwest Iowa Brass, Blue Ridge Brass and SouthWest Brass. Answers are written for Wissota Brass; other companies' policies and equipment claims do not apply here.
Do you sell loaded ammunition?
No. Wissota Brass works with empty cartridge cases. We sell processed previously fired brass and process brass that customers supply.
What calibers do you work with?
Calibers we work with include .300 Blackout, .223 / 5.56, 7.62×39, .308 / 7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30-06, 9mm. Availability changes, so ask about current stock or your caliber in your quote request.
Can I send you my own brass?
Yes. Customer-supplied processing is available. Tell us the caliber, quantity and the processing stages you want, and we'll confirm specifications and pricing before any work begins.
Do you sell primed brass?
Priming is available for applicable commercial orders. Primed cases have different shipping requirements, so we'll confirm options when we quote your order.
How is brass packaged?
Retail quantities typically range from 250 to 2,500 cases, packed flat in vacuum-sealed bags with a branded kraft band that records your order's specifications.
How do you ship?
Shipping options depend on what's in the order — primed cases in particular have carrier rules. We confirm shipping or local pickup with every quote.
Do you handle commercial volume?
Yes, within practical capacity. Share your target quantities and specifications and we'll respond with a quote and lead time.
